She's Growing . . . Too Fast!

I can't believe Jenna is already 10 weeks today! She is such a sweet heart, and we are enjoying her so much . . . especially since she is sleeping all night! Shayla still thinks Jenna is the greatest--always giving her lots of hugs & kisses, making her smile, and "helping" mommy take care of her.

Shayla and Allison--we were able to spend some time with Scot and Amber at my parents house over Labor Day weekend. The girls had lots of fun together!

At the ParkA Visit from the MarshallsBrother Marshall didn't have to read Curious George very long before Shayla was in "la-la" land. She had had a full day . . . including a trip to the zoo with Uncle Mark, Aunt Deborah, and kids!Working on important business with Daddy--she loves her laptop and often has to check her "e-mall"!"Helping" Mommy make brownies. Cousins . . . friends! (They play together so good and get along great!)Bad "Boo-Boo"! We Are Pleased to Announce . . .

. . . that we will be having a GIRL join our family!!! After waiting very impatiently for such a long time, we were so thankful that our baby finally cooperated today for the ultrasound. Things look like they are still on track for August 8. We are excited and anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new little one!

We're Still Here!

I realized it might be time for another post . . . being it's only been almost 4 months since you last heard from us. Lots has been happening--spring revival, visits with grandparents, Easter, IHC, time with friends, church activities, etc. I have lots of pictures (unfortunately, not of everything) that will help tell the story.

Shayla's Two-Year Pictures

Shayla Turns Two!!

January 23, 2009--Shayla turned two years old! On the Wednesday night before her birthday, we had the church people over after prayer meeting for a little snack. Then on her birthday, we had a party with our families. Papa and Nana Muir braved the winter weather to be here for the special occasion. Grandpa and Grandma Blowers, Uncle Mark, Aunt Deborah, and their kids (who all live relatively close) were here, as well as Shayla's adopted "Aunt Sharla" who did a great job decorating the cake.

On Shayla's birthday while Mom and I were busy getting ready for the party, Papa spent quite a while playing with Shayla in the snow. He took her sled riding, built her a snow "person" . . . and I looked out at one point to see Shayla eating snow! (Papa says he had nothing to do with that.) Needless to say, they both enjoyed their time immensely! (Her baby even got to ride in the sled.)
