It's About Time!

I imagine that you all are tired of seeing "Overnight at Grandma's" . . . so I decided to just take the time and update with some recent pictures of Shayla. We've been busy since my last post with IHC, youth rally in Hartville, OH, which Ben had to speak at, special services at our church, attending area revivals, our monthly Teen Time with our church youth, etc., etc.
Shayla is thoroughly enjoying the beautiful weather we've been having. She loves to go 'side' (outside) and play ball, swing, ride with Daddy on his 'tata' (tractor)--a big hit! and walk bare-foot in the grass. (By the way, she has finally decided that walking is better than crawling . . . after fifteen months! She's been working at it for probably 6-8 weeks now, but just was too stubborn (and lazy) to put her mind to it.) Our neighbor girl also gave her a little playhouse that she is enjoying as well.

On our way from our hotel to IHC one morning.

Waiting for Daddy to give a 'tata' ride.

Overnight at Grandma's!

Last Monday night, Ben's parents made it possible for us to "get away" overnight to celebrate our anniversary. Part of the "package" included them keeping Shayla for us. This was Mommy and Baby's first time to be separated overnight, and boy, was hard to leave my little girl. However, Ben and I really enjoyed our time together . . . shopping, eating out, ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery (yummy!), and a beautiful executive hotel suite. Lots of fun and very relaxing! Shayla made out just great without her mommy (definitely harder on me than on her) and she had lots of fun with Papa and Grandma Blowers! Here are some pictures of our "good-bye" and Shayla enjoying her time with Grandma B! Thanks again so much, Mom and Dad!
Waving "good-bye"--she didn't even shed a tear.

Fun times with Grammy!

Happy Anniversary to Us!

April 10, 2004 . . . four years ago today I married my best friend! These past four years have been the best years of my life. I'm so glad I waited for the #1 husband! God has been so good to us--bringing our lives together, leading us into His work here in Columbus, and blessing our home with a wonderful, healthy little girl!

Our first date . . . the "college banquet thing." :-)

Our special day!

Happy Spring!

I think spring has finally arrived here at our house. My daffodils are in full bloom and we have been enjoying some wonderful warm, sunny weather! Shayla absoluetly loves any time she is able to spend outside (or "side" as she says it). Here are a few pics I took of her the other day. I just love this beautiful weather!!
